Normally, the customers who
have the Electoral Identity card or Voter card understand the same as valid
photo identity and address proof but it is our responsibility to make it clear
that Voter card is not considered as valid address proof. A lot of ambiguities have been experienced in
creation of Voter Cards and hence government itself has declared this proof as
photo identity proof only. For proving
you permanent address from the card issued by the government of India is only
AADHAR card. This is the document of
address and photo identity proof. Significance of the documents is self explanatory.
Without valid documentary support, no bank
will provide banking facilities. The
documents provided by the customer are governing papers to maintain his/her
account with the bank. As far as the
address proof is concerned, one can also produce the bank pass book of other
bank and it will be accepted at HCBL.
Because after investigating the place of residence, banks issue pass book
having the residential address on face page of the same.
Once all the documentary
proofs are collected, bank will provide you banking services with all the
latest technical support. SMS alert
service is an automatically added feature with the accounts. We do not believe in formalities and do not
ask customers to provide separate application for linking his/her bank account
with the SMS alert facility. At the time
of opening of bank account, we ask the option from customer to have this
facility or not. Internet banking
options are also asked at the time of opening of the account.
This is for advanced
information of all the account holders that we also provide insurance facility
but this is kept optional. In case anyone
desires the same, he/she can select the insurance option at the time of opening
of bank account. Though, the same can
also be asked at later stage. This is
under discretion of the individual concerned. Policy bond is also there and
like other insurance policies, premium facility is also here. Option is with the customer to deduct the
premium from his/her bank account or physical remittance.
Flexibility is also with
HCBL to open the account for minors. It
is possible that the relative of the child wants to take the guardianship of the
minor, he/she can maintain the account but to open the account for such child,
relative will have to take the approval of the natural parents of the concerned
kid.
Being based on the
co-operatives, HCBL allows its customers to deposit their precious amount on
daily basis. A scheme has been launched
namely Asha Pigmy Deposit Scheme. The customers concerned are allowed to
deposit the amount according to their saving on daily basis. The ceiling limit of deposition is minimum
Rs. 20 and maximum Rs. 5000.00 per day.
This collection is also under the electronic supervision. An automatic receipt will be generated on
collection and notified to the customer’s account.
Apart from the above mentioned, it is also
confusion among customers that we are taking more charges in making demand
draft than other banks. It is clarified
that our service charges are just equal to other banks of private and public
sector.
